It’s always a good month when we hand over the keys to a brand new shiny Fraser and today it was Stu’s turn. Beautiful clear weather greeted him for his first drive home. I am pretty sure this Fraser definitely has the highest air miles out of any. Stu bought the car 10 years ago while living in Australia and proceeded to move around the country over the next few year while bolting it together. He then moved back to NZ with the Fraser in tow and probably 5 years ago dropped it off to Frasers to complete. We got as far as dyno tuning and we were about to go through the certification process when he was called back overseas for work and the Fraser was relegated to his garage in storage. Last year he called me up with a motivated tone to his voice saying “Let’s get this done!”. Over the last few months Fraser Cars has tidied up all the loose ends and got the car road legal, the end result is great! Its and awesome looking car that goes like a cut cat! Congratulations Stu!
In other news, we have made good progress through Peter’s KE25 Corolla, it is now stripped down and on a rotisserie waiting for the sandblasters and painters to do their thing. Hopefully won’t be too long before we start bolting all the shiny bits back on!
We pride ourselves in working on some weird and wonderful sh**, and this month did not fail to deliver. Kevin dropped off his 1986 Volvo C303, which I am sure you are all familiar with! It is a 4WD Swedish military troop carrier that is converted to an “Overlander” – which basically means a camper with giant wheels that can go anywhere! I think this thing is awesome, you can guarantee you won’t pull up at the lights next to another one! We are doing a four wheel disc brake conversion with dual front calipers, a power steering conversion using a steering box out of a Mercedes G wagon, and fitting some new wheels.
