From Tom, the ‘Middle of the Island’ Fraser Car Club rep.
I for one, have not used Merlow for quite a while, let alone get her hot, and from what I can gather from other Fraser owners, I am not alone. So I have organized a run around the roads of Central/Southern Hawkes bay, including a couple of the well used Targa Rally roads. All are on tarmac and include a Pub and a couple of wineries.
To add a bit of a challenge and to keep the passenger busy, I have planned a couple of short distance time trials along the way. ie; Drive a certain distance at a set average speed, with points deducted for speeding or crawling.
If your Fraser is covered in cob webs, and needs a blow out, or you are suffering from cabin fever after all this unfriendly Fraser weather, Rosie and I will meet you in Napier Friday 16th Aug.
We have booked into accommodation (email for details). We will be driving about 100 ks over the day, so not too much for those coming a long from afar.
Please email me if you are joining us so I don’t end up in Hawkes Bay alone with my wife (perish that thought).
Tom (Merlow)
