Okay, it is all on, but now scheduled for Sunday 14th April even though some showers are forecast for the day…it is a long way out and things will change…. sigh
By the time we got the last permission granted for this weekend it is too close to proceed and hope to get some cars!.
Assemble at my place on the sunny North Shore by 12 noon on Sunday 14 April (email ida@fraser.co.nz if you need address)
We are due to enter the base as a team at 1.00pm. No stragglers, all together in one group.
For those coming from the west you can meet up with the main bunch outside the main gate at Whenuapai just before 1.00pm.
There are some new protocols in place for visitors to the Base:
1. Remain together with the group throughout your time on base, no wandering about having a look see.
2. No cell phones to be carried or used (not even to make a call) but you can have them placed away in your car (back bin would be good) for the duration you are on Base. I will remind you when we are gathered outside before entry.
I will need RSVP’s by Friday 12 April 5.00pm, emailed to me, with your names, passengers included with rego number, as a list has to be handed in at the gate.
So, the broad outline is to get a couple of individual shots of cars with the P3 in the background and some group shots suitable for a 25th anniversary calendar.
We are hoping to use some ground equipment to get elevated views of the cars.
In keeping with the 25th anniversary, only Fraser Clubmans please.
Roll on Sunday 14th !!!… oh and bring a brolly…
Cheers,
Gary
