Fraser Customs – Upcycling the Kiwi Way

Handcrafted, quality New Zealand manufacturing went on show at the Fraser Cars stand as they launched a new Fraser Customs motorbike service at this year’s Speedshow. They kick-started the new offering with the unveiling of the Fraser Flat Tracker bike which has been upcycled from an unloved, broken Yamaha TW200.

Fraser Cars has been handcrafting Lotus 7 replica sports cars in New Zealand for over 20 years from its Auckland workshop. Customers will work alongside the Fraser team to develop their dream bike.

“So many people want to create something unique. The Fraser Customs service is all about taking someone’s vision and creating a handcrafted motorbike that is fully road-legal. Fraser bikes will all be warranted, registered and ready-to-ride,” says Scott Tristram, co-owner of Fraser Cars.

The craftsmen at Fraser will be taking old motorbikes and upcycling them to create new, exciting custom bikes. And any additional components will be manufactured by the team at the workshop right here in New Zealand.

Ida Tristram, who co-owns the business with husband Scott, continues “We have brilliant craftsmen in New Zealand, as well as the great Kiwi ‘can-do’ attitude. So we’re combining years of experience handcrafting cars with a creative desire to design a motorbike that is exactly what a customer wants. Every single bike will be unique, just like the owner.”
